The Marketing Strategic Planning and Operations team is seeking an experienced professional to support the Business Marketing Group (BMG), overseeing and coordinating priority programs to ensure they align with goals and are delivered on time with operational excellence. The Marketing Strategic Planning and Operations team unlocks collective, sustainable Marketing impact by shaping marketing strategy and plans, spearheading operational excellence, and evolving marketing and its capabilities. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires advanced analytical / problem solving skills, leadership, organization, communication skills, and experience managing various teams and stakeholders effectively.
Strategic Planning and Operations Manager - Business Marketing Responsibilities
- Identify, structure and solve complex problems - leveraging data to support recommendations
- Identify and structure emerging misalignments and develop solutions (both within team and across orgs), help remove roadblocks, escalate misalignments, and ensure teams are set up for successful execution
- Build and manage work-back schedules and hold members of cross-functional teams accountable to deliver on time
- Define, implement, manage, and refine organizational operations, rhythms of business, and ways of working that enable Business Marketing to be efficient and effective
- Identify opportunities to build and improve on strategic marketing, planning, and operations processes
- Facilitate key meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives, establish clear next steps and owners, and resolve blocks that impede progress
- Support the implementation of annual planning processes
- Define and track organization-level goals
- Communicate up, down, and across organization to ensure transparency, alignment, and advocacy
- Distill business insights from how we’re managing resources and headcount across portfolio
- Work with cross-functional partners including Analytics, Product, Sales, Sales Strategy & Ops, Insights, Communications and HR to enable informed business decisions and resource allocation
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 8+ years experience across marketing, operations, or strategy
- Demonstrated project management experience – proven organizational skills and experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Proven experience working with complex data sets - running analysis and structuring recommendations.
- Understanding of the Marketing function and its core competencies
- Experience collaborating and building relationships in dynamic and matrixed organizations
- Demonstrated capacity to communicate complex, large-scale concepts clearly and simply
- Success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives under tight deadlines
- Skills in balancing attention to detail with big-picture strategic thinking
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in either management consulting or in-house strategy and operations
- Experience with data analysis coding languages (e.g., SQL)
- Familiarity with Business Marketing
- MBA or related graduate degree
