What You'll Be Doing:
We're seeking a Sr Dir / VP of Finance who shares our passion for advancing the future of nutrition and supporting dietitians in building successful businesses. As our first finance hire, you will collaborate closely with various departments at Fay, including Growth, Operations, Provider Recruitment, Revenue Cycle Management, and Corporate Development. You will have broad exposure across the entire organization, working closely with the leadership team to provide data-driven insights that will shape our strategic direction. Your role will be pivotal in steering Fay's strategy and driving profitable growth, supporting decisions with analytical rigor and strategic recommendations.
In this role, you'll:
- Build and Lead a Strategic Finance Team: Develop and manage a roadmap for key projects including client-side growth, provider-side expansion, budgeting, and pricing strategies.
- Partner with Growth Team: Act as a dedicated finance partner, providing data-driven insights to support growth initiatives from a financial perspective.
- Establish Financial Processes: Build Fay's financial infrastructure from the ground up, implementing robust systems to ensure organizational efficiency and transparency.
- Financial Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain accurate financial forecasts, monthly reporting, cohort analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally to track performance metrics, identifying opportunities and driving strategic decisions.
- Innovate Financial Operations: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, enhancing scalability and efficiency across the organization.
- Key Leadership Opportunities: Partner with senior leadership on strategic projects including investor relations, Board communications, and future fundraising.
This role is based in San Francisco or New York.
You'll Be a Good Fit If:
- Professional Experience: You have 8+ years of experience in financial services (Investment Banking / Private Equity) and analytical roles in fast-growing companies ( Finance / Strategy & Ops / BizOps).
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools. Knowledge of SQL / Python is a plus.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record leading strategic finance initiatives and managing direct reports. You can build a finance org from the ground up.
- High Initiative: You possess a low ego, high grit attitude, thriving in tackling complex challenges, supporting team members, and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
