Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
- Experience with business partnership.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting an engineering, technology project, or Research and Development investment portfolio.
- Experience building financial models of large scale programs including identifying, assessing and controlling for uncertainty and risk.
- Experience in identifying opportunities for business improvement and defining/measuring the success of those initiatives.
- Experience in SQL and Python.
- Demonstrated leadership, cross-functional communication and people management skills.

Technical Infrastructure (TI) is the foundation of Google, with nascent investments in Machine Learning (ML) at the forefront of Google’s investment in the future. As Finance Senior Analyst and business partner to TI’s senior leadership team in support of technology project investments, you will work on financial and economic analysis to support this critical and complex business area. The multi scale of our annual investments in infrastructure requires strong financial leadership spanning planning, process and risk management, control, opportunity identification and analytics.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$201,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop understanding of computing hardware and systems domain, think strategically, develop an economic point of view, communicate with executives and cross-functional working group members.
- Lead finance work groups for recurring and project-based efforts. Define inputs for financial modeling of new products to understand financial and economic impacts and risks.
- Provide executive management with clear insights into drivers of business and financial performance based on risks, detailed modeling, and understanding of Technical Infrastructure technology.
- Lead financial and strategic planning of hardware and software Research and Development programs via formal Business Planning and regular Business Reviews. Drive high value analysis of and insights on improving core TI processes with billions of dollar business impact.
- Collaborate with and manage cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Product Finance, Corp Finance, Accounting, etc.) to provide financial support for Google’s infrastructure technology investments.
