About the Role
Uber Eats is looking for a Strategic Operations Manager to drive improvements to the reliability of our US&C Grocery and Retail business. This operations role calls for a combination of creative problem-solving, operational optimization, data analytics, and project management. You should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, enjoy solving problems and thrive in a startup environment. You will work cross-functionally with local operations teams, product, and finance to help grow Uber’s grocery and retail business.
What You Will Do
- Own Grocery & Retail reliability end-to-end including strategy, optimization, and measurement
- Identify, scope, and recommend solutions, then take ownership for delivering on the project and the outcomes, as well as keeping leadership informed of progress
- Analyze data and aggregate insights to drive key business decisions and strategies
- Advise senior leadership on long-term strategy and decision making by defining critical metrics, developing dashboards, and providing strategic insights
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally with other Operations teams as well as with Product, Data Science, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Support to ensure insights inform broader critical initiatives
- Work with Product teams to guide the development of our solutions based on business and customer needs. Project manage cross-functional work streams for key Product roll-outs across the US and Canada. Set and measure key performance indicators for roll-outs you oversee
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional work experience in a related field (consulting, investment banking, technology, operations, strategy, or analytics)
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with data analysis in Excel/Google Sheets and SQL proficiency
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python or similar programming languages
- Strong experience building and executing complex processes
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to a sophisticated audience
- Experience problem-solving and proposing unique solutions to complex issues
- Experience with quantitative data analysis to provide deep measurable insights
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills - building deep, trust-based relationships with teams and cross-functional partners
- Strong business judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to develop strategies and make decisions quickly
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$95,500 per year - USD$106,250 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$106,000 per year - USD$118,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$106,000 per year - USD$118,000 per year.
